Once I got home from work on Thanksgiving Day, my family learned that we are able to eat a meal that cooked for 8 hours in 20 minutes. The worst part is that I didn't get to nap before we went out shopping that night. Overall a good Thanksgiving break once I got coffee in me.

went to the Maltz Performing Arts Center to hear Jesmyn Ward speak. I was so surprised when she said she chose her characters based off of people she always wanted to read about but were never present in literature... just like what we were talking about today in class!
