I just went on Fox News to tell the truth about the redistricting power grab in Texas.
I asked a simple question: “If Republican policies are so popular, why do they need to redraw these maps; why not run on their policies?”
He refused to answer — and cut the interview early.
“However, it has become clear that truth and transparency are not desired by the Secretary, but rather he wishes subservient confirmation of his misinformation and lies,” Marks wrote.
Now that is how you write a fucking resignation letter.

Top US #vaccine official resigns; “It’s become clear that truth/transparency aren’t desired by the secretary but rather he wishes subservient confirmation of his misinformation & lies." Wondering how waverers who supported RFKJr’s confirmation are feeling?

Right now there are a lot of new eyes on Signal, and not all of them are familiar with secure messaging and its nuances. Which means there’s misinfo flying around that might drive people away from Signal and private communications.
One piece of misinfo we need to address is the claim that there are ‘vulnerabilities’ in Signal. This isn’t accurate. Reporting on a Pentagon advisory memo appears to be at the heart of the misunderstanding: https://t.co/QfWgOxHAzp. The memo used the term ‘vulnerability’ in relation to Signal—but it had nothing to do with Signal’s core tech. It was warning against phishing scams targeting Signal users.
Phishing isn’t new, and it’s not a flaw in our encryption or any of Signal’s underlying technology. Phishing attacks are a constant threat for popular apps and websites.
In order to help protect people from falling victim to sophisticated phishing attacks, Signal introduced new user flows and in-app warnings. This work has been completed for some time and is unrelated to any current events. If you’re interested in learning more, this WIRED article from February 19th (over a month ago) goes into more detail:

Signal is open source, so our code is regularly scrutinized in addition to regular formal audits. We also constantly monitor [email protected] for any new reports, and we act on them with quickness while also working to protect the people who rely on us from outside threats like phishing with warnings and safeguards.
This is why Signal remains the gold standard for private, secure communications.

Ever wondered why election results take time to be finalized? News outlets may report results quickly, but it could be days or weeks before the election results are certified.
@espn These two homers doing the broadcast are clueless about the Mets players or the team's season (including the amazing story). Sick of the fan boys. #LGM
During Donald Trump’s speech in North Carolina he did the following:
1. He said his friend “the late great Hannibal Lecter” will “eat your brains.”
2. He pretended to be a woman in a weight lifting competition and made grunting noises.
3. He said people want him to be nice but he’s not going to be nice.
4. He said Kamala Harris is a criminal and should not be allowed to run for office.
5. He said he doesn’t think it will stick to call Kamala the prosecutor and him the felon.
6. He asked if the audience liked Hulk Hogan at the RNC.
7. He asked if the audience liked JD Vance.
8. He said you can’t teach a criminal not to be a criminal.
9. He said his crowd sizes are bigger than Kamala’s
10. He said he was upset the media reported on Kamala’s crowd sizes.
11. He glitched saying words.

BREAKING: Superstar comedian host John Oliver hilariously offers corrupt Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas $1 million a year if he will resign from the court — a perfect solution given the man's insane greed.
"Lot on your plate right now," said Oliver. "From stripping away women’s rights to hearing Jan. 6 cases, you definitely shouldn’t be hearing two potentially helping rollback decades of federal regulations."
The remarks came during the premiere of the eleventh season of Oliver's show "Last Week Tonight."
During the segment, Oliver shredded Thomas for making the lives of Americans "demonstrably worse" and promised him a new luxury RV — a reference to the sweetheart loan deal he received to buy a 40-foot luxury motor coach from a wealthy "friend."
"So that’s the offer," Oliver went on. "$1 million a year, Clarence. And a brand new condo on wheels. And all you have to do in return is sign the contract and get the fuck off the Supreme Court. Talk it over with your totally best friend in the whole world. Because the clock starts now. Thirty days, Clarence … Let’s do this!"
Thomas's blatant corruption has been well-documented. He has been receiving all manner of gifts, luxury trips, and bribes for years. The man views the Supreme Court as a moneymaking endeavor, not as a sacred responsibility.
"I think you’re thinking, what would my friend say if I take this offer?" said Oliver. "Will they judge me as they sit in their boardrooms and mega yachts and Hitler shrines? Will they still treat me to luxury vacations and sing songs about me off their phones? Well, that’s the beauty of friendship, Clarence. If they’re real friends, they’ll love you no matter what your job is. So I guess this might be the perfect way to find out who your real friends actually are."
Perfection! Oliver should be commended for pushing this issue back into the public consciousness.
Clarence Thomas is selling the American people out for a cheap buck every day — and destroying this country in the process. In a just world, he would be impeached and prosecuted for his behavior.
Please retweet and ❤️ if you think that Clarence Thomas should be removed from the court — and consider joining the growing exodus to Tribel, a new pro-democracy social network that is exploding in popularity because Twitter and Facebook are trying to stop its growth — which is only making Tribel grow even faster. @FitbitSupport what's the deal w/ the Charge 5 battery dying in hours? I use default settings, phone for GPS & 'manual wake.' I activated my device 1 yr ago TODAY. Nothing changed, except now my Charge 5 is dead. PLS FIX THIS ISSUE... Very disappointed & unhappy customer.
Seriously, CNN? Do you need to show us Donald’s plane taking off?
The media should have learned its lesson after its failed coverage of the 2016 election when empty podiums and planes idling on the tarmac were deemed newsworthy.
Yet, here we are again and the media is making the same mistakes all over.
Donald Trump will be arraigned tomorrow in a New York City courtroom to face 34 charges—that’s what matters. How he gets to the courtroom isn’t news.
The media’s insistence on covering every aspect of this man’s life to the exclusion of all else is one of the reasons this country is in such dire straits.
Enough.
@Mindy30625784@mjs_DC I wish you were right but you know, besides their power and their manufactured outrage, they love nothing better than their own hypocrisy. 🙄
