History is repeating every 2,140 years, so when you see people say America is going through its own version of the Fall of the Roman Empire; the truth in fact is far worse: This period of crisis we are living through actually correlates with the start of the decline of the Roman Republic and the rise of Caesar and the Roman Empire.
@HomericFuturist This sort of platform will form the backbone of America’s upcoming equivalent of the Late Roman Republic’s Populares. For better or worse, our President in 2032 will embrace a great deal of this and will be a radical response to the socialist president who wins in 2028.
We are in the midst of the Crisis of the Late Republic. Exact same situation as Rome during this time. And the death of the middle class was and is at the heart of it all.
People glorify the Roman Empire, when in fact it was just the culmination of the elites disenfranchising the Roman people and replacing them with foreign slaves. We are headed in that direction with a myriad of crises and much chaos along the way.
@Jvnior The biggest part of this is the intentional slander of Ron Paul. The whole system united against him to prevent his winning the GOP nod. Many of Obama’s promises (that he didnt keep) were part of Paul’s platform.
He was America’s Tiberius Grachhus. The beginning of the end.
This absolutely does not surprise me at all. Anyone who doesnt think the GOP loses the mid terms is a boomer who watches Fox news. Trump has completely betrayed his base, and not only are his former base unmotivated to show up to vote, but some have even switched and are motivated to vote democrat. Its sad, but true
@mattforney Communist revolutions have always failed in the west. The only thing an attempted Communist Revolution will spark in America is a reaction… America’s Napoleon/Hitler
I see things playing out very predictably
Imperial Rome was fanatically oppressive. The Wars of Augustus were just him crushing revolts against his authoritarian rule.
Yes, materially the emperors used slaves to build many great things and lived in lavish opulence, but the entire economy was structured around providing for the emperor and the ruling elites, not the masses. The middle class was long dead and gone.
Meanwhile, the territory of the Roman Republic at its death was 90% of Imperial Rome’s maximum extent. With the exception of adding Britain, all the empire ever did was add fringe territories that it rarely held onto permanently.
I view the Roman Empire has surviving on the greatness of the Republic, limping on via incredibly oppressive authoritarianism for a centuries long decline.
Outside of the 5 Good Emperors, every other dynasty was a horror show in some form or another. As a common person it is obvious that living between the 2nd and 3rd Punic Wars was the best time to live in Rome, definitely not under the empire.
This is a quintessential example of the negative characteristics of the Age of Pisces. The mass deceit engulfing our Republic is at the heart of its current undoing and will lead to its undoing toward the end of the 21st century
As we enter Aquarius, the techno-authoritarian aspects of the Age will gradually replace this propaganda sort of control, which makes sense will be the only resort the elites have left in the wake of the people waking up to their game
We've got peace all over the world
Finally not in a war in the Middle East
We've got mass deportations.
Energy costs are down
Grocery costs are down
The right is more united than ever
Socialists losing everywhere
The deep state is gone
RINOs like Graham out
So much winning!
Correlates exactly with what was going on in the Roman Republic during this same time period in their history.
Mass importing slaves and displacing the actual Italian population with people, often from Asia during this time period, who did not at all share Rome’s culture.
As a result, the Republic became more susceptible to the immoralities, cults, authoritarianism and deification of leaders that had been part of civilization in the Near East for centuries, and in turn paved the way for the rise of Caesar and the empire.
In 21st century America, this process of displacing western christian culture with foreigners from the 3rd world that have no concept of rights, democracy, morality or christianity; is instrumental in setting the stage for the rise of the Antichrist and the death of the United States.
In the same way communism or socialism can sounds great in theory, but when human nature is added to the equation its a disaster… so too is government overreach into our private lives for “our own good”
I understand laws that prevent people from hurting others, in this example a speed limit, but laws that claim to protect people from themselves are extremely dangerous, in this case the seat belt law.
Where I went off the cliff resisting even the laws that seem to reasonably prevent people from hurting others was during COVID. They claimed that to prevent me from hurting others they could mandate not only a medical device (mask) but a medical procedure (vaccine).
And I use those specific terms to point out the direction the slippery slope can take. Imagine where allowing mask and vaccine mandates can eventually end up. Im not libertarian by any stretch, I am just looking at what is happening in the world and trying to prevent further tyranny.
@eugyppius1
Ah yes, just like the ghost of kiev huh?
Western propaganda was at its peak at the start of the conflict
Actual unbiased information on the ground said the opposite. The tanks pulled out. Very few were left behind
There wasnt even hardly any resistance on the ground outside kiev at all
