Yeah, I’m worried about most things that come out in the current era. Most things don’t hit the same as they used to, and I don’t know if it’s because we have all been spoiled (needing to constantly seek novelty, or “extremes”) or maybe I’m just getting old and cranky

@Drycanister I think I would have liked Spencer and considered it if he had been allowed to explore the Mephisto question, and finally given us some form of resolution to OMD.

But there was allegedly a TON of editorial interference, so who know how good it could have been

I think it’s a classic, and while there are plenty of plot holes (all comics have them) this was genuinely the last great run for Spidey in my opinion

See, that’s what I think too!

But what I have come to suspect is that it may not actually matter what it in the comic.

It seems like bad and good sell or don’t sell no matter what you do.

It may be the case that they wouldn’t gain any new sales if they created better stories, so there genuinely may be no incentive to try

And to pass the time, instead of worrying about pleasing fans, maybe they just make a game out of seeing how many fans can be triggered by adding someone like Paul, or character assassinating Ben Reilly

Well I mean the killed Paul, seems like MJ is going back to normal after Queen in Black, and it’s possible that Amazing Spider-Man #1000 will undersell and there are could be shakeups at marvel comics in the Spider Office

I wouldn’t hold my breath though, the parasites tend to be latched on pretty good

@mjvortex85 @retrocvnty I don’t think I have ever watched a YouTube video about any spider-man, or even marvel movie before, and I felt that she did a very bad job at representing the “spirit” of MJ Watson

She wasn’t bad for an original character, but never really read as MJ coded for me personally
