I’m Leo, a British sailor and boat-builder. I’m on a mission to rebuild & relaunch a historic wooden sailing vessel built in 1910 — TALLY HO. #SavingTallyHo
Tally Ho has made it to Guna Yala (San Blas islands), and we are very excited to be here! Beautiful islands, strong local indigenous culture, tropical fruit and coconuts, great sailing breeze - what more could you want?
We made it - Tally Ho is in the Atlantic!
The Panama Canal was an incredible experience - chaotic, exciting, and challenging!
For the first time since 1958, Tally Ho is back in the ocean that she came from.
I love the expression on this birds face 😅 ...I wonder what it was thinking?!
We saw these beautiful Blue-footed Boobies and Frigatebirds on Isla Isabel, back in Mexico.
Spotlight; Butler & Co provided my first boatbuilding employment and became important teachers and mentors.
They are ready to take on new projects - big or small; refit, repair, or new build. If you have any questions at all, you can look them up or I can put you in touch.
Playa La India - Part of Huatulco National Park, on the Southern Pacific Mexican Coast. We've made a lot of progress to the South in the last couple of weeks and should be approaching the Mexico/Guatemala border in the next few days, providing we can safely cross the Tehuantepec.
Every day I'm blown away by the beauty of this place - it's really sometimes quite hard to take it all in!
This morning we motored past a rock formation known as the "Hand of God" - can you see it in this photo?

Meet one of our new crew - this is Joe!
Joe is a very old friend of mine - we went to school together in the UK, and travelled in India together as teenagers. Now he's sailing the Sea of Cortez with us for a few weeks.
Current position N24°69', W112°39'.
A wonderful passage so far, with calm weather and easy downwind sailing.
We had a beautiful sunset last night. If you look closely you can see another hitchhiker on the very top of the topmast!

In this video we get a lot of work done on Tally Ho, but also find time to explore Ensenada and get a taste of the local culture.
This is a sticky job, and not one that I had been looking forward too.
I would guess that most of you know what I'm doing here, with this fibreglass, up the mast? No prizes for guessing!
...the full story will be in the next video.
