@Starthedeity I just played through Xenogears and even tho it has one grindy system in it I just kinda passively got it done as I was going through the game and was still running away from random encounters fairly often and never had a problem with any content in the game

@northlightwind Like I neither think its definitively a bat nor do I think that it particularly matters if it is a bat or not. Like it can not be a bat and Dess can still be the Knight. It can be a bat and Rudy or Asriel can somehow be the Knight.

@northlightwind I also don't even think that it being a bat really narrows down the options for who the knight is so I just don't really care about it in general. Every other remaining knight candidate besides Carol, who is already iffy, would have a motivation for using a bat in her memory.

@northlightwind Like if there was a second instance of the knight doing anything bat related with its sword I would believe it a lot more but as is its just a weird one off to me that doesn't prove anything on its own because it could really just be a rorschach test moment

@northlightwind idk I just don't know if it was supposed to look unformed or specifically like a bat, especially because it stops being a bat so fast and the knight doesn't really use it LIKE a bat in any of its animations. Its just not really compelling evidence to me by itself
