Grateful to the National Unity Platform leaders who represented us today in handing over our pledge towards the homecoming events for the Omusinga Wa Rwenzururu Charles Wesley Mumbere on 4th October. I made the pledge in Kasese recently during the #NUPCountryWideTour. The Omusinga has not been to the Kingdom for seven years, since the regime massacred over 150 people in 2016 and placed him under house arrest. Once again, we express solidarity with the Kingdom in its pursuit for justice and accountability.

Today in Kasese District, we handed over the pledge of 10 million shillings made by our President @HEBobiwine during the #NUPCountryWideTour, to support the Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu as they prepare to receive Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere back to his kingdom on 4th October. We joined the @NUP_Ug leaders from Rwenzori region to hand over the pledge to Kingdom officials. For seven years since the massacre at the Palace, the Kingdom has faced many challenges hence the public fundraiser for support. We called upon other well-wishers to support the cause. We also addressed the press and appreciated the people of Rwenzori for turning up massively to receive the message of change recently.
