Then there's just IIED tort which can pretty easily cover these kind of deepfakes. There's too much legal theory against it to say it's definitively protected.

The results are horrifying, but those are on either bad luck or the Dolphins organization. Can't get mad at the player for not being psychic. So yeah it was a freak accident.

Only one of those was from a tackle too, the wrap rules make a real difference. This was a clean hit done safely as possible given size and momentum, the results were unfortunate
