I would live in the middle of the woods off grid but I care about too many other things to be isolated. That doesn’t mean I have to trust the government or government officials though.

I care about the way things are done here and the way things are going. But just because things are good for you now doesn’t mean they always will be. There’s always a bad apple.

You can go about your day and your life and just be aware and cautious that not everyone can be trusted. Bottom line is no one cares about you the way you do. Protect yourself

It is better to have the guns and not need them than to need them and not have them.

It doesn’t mean you live in fear it means you’re just prepared if shit goes south. Anyone with too much power can turn at any time. The police do their job but you can’t trust them all.

But on the ground against mobs of people that want what you have it absolutely does. It’s a great means to protect yourself. Like I said, AR-15 is not an assault rifle because it is not fully automatic. And I agree with your post about mental checks and having more standards that need to be in place to own a gun
