@ScottMorrisonMP says the Govt is looking into pro-growth policies to stop Aus falling into recession due to dwindling migration numbers. Making this process quicker / more cost effective surely has long term benefits? #PartnerVisaAus
My UK application for a partner visa cost myself and my partner £149. In Australia (I am an Aus citizen) it would cost $7,700 (£4,280).
My UK application took 3 weeks. In Australia, 24 month processing time.
@ScottMorrisonMP consider that when looking at pro growth policies?
@ScottMorrisonMP given the Aus economy is going to now suffer from reduced migration, perhaps it’s time to sort out the woefully inadequate partner visa situation to encourage more Aus citizens and their partners to return to Aus to work and live? See tweets below for the problem
@ScottMorrisonMP see below for the problem. Many Aus citizens will simply not move move home because of the time, stress and money it takes to relocate with their wife/husband/partner. The Aus economy now more than ever will need migration, including the contribution of its own.
2/3 Lets compare with @AusGov process:

1/3 Pleased to say my application for an EEA Residency Card was successful, which gifts me work rights in the UK. I needed to prove my relationship was "enduring" for "de facto status". Compiling the evidence took some time but it took less than three weeks to be approved.
@NOWTV really needs to up its game on “recently added”, you really have nothing on Prime or Netflix right now and I’m starting to think it’s a waste...
In this episode of the HJ Talks About Abuse podcast Alan Collins @abuse_justice and Feleena Grosvener @FeleenaG will discuss the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority(CICA) Scheme and how, despite its good intentions, it is failing survivors of abuse. https://t.co/emoPOzQBwQ
In this episode of the HJ Talks About Abuse podcast, Partner, Alan Collins @abuse_justice and Sam Barker @SamuelJBarker discuss the proposed changes to the limitation laws that apply to childhood sexual abuse. #IICSA#howlongistoolong

On Monday I delivered the opening statement on behalf of my clients the Ex-Jehovah’s Witness Advocates Opposing Crimea Against Children at @InquiryCSA Child Protection in Religious Organisations hearings. You can see that statement at 4 hrs 44 mins https://t.co/QiCUr7byt0
A JW Elder has been sentenced to 9 years in prison for sexual assault. Partner Alan Collins asks, "Given the seriousness of the offence, why did the Jehovah's Witnesses still refuse to assist the authorities?" @abuse_justice https://t.co/flUxpRIWjF

This recent example of the Jehovah's Witnesses not co-operating with the police in relation to an allegation of #CSA should no doubt be taken into account by @InquiryCSA in the #CPIROS hearings. Practices have not changed.

Also, why do your reissued cancelled tickets say “unable to waitlist” instead of “cancelled”? Why can’t you just be clear during this time? It doesn’t help your customers at all to be unclear.
I’ve never received a document from you with the purchase price, notwithstanding any modification to the booking. You’re not refunding for cancelled flights, just giving vouchers so I need to put in my insurance claim ASAP or it might be construed as delay.
@SamuelJBarker >> but we will come back to you in time for your trip. Regarding your invoice: we cannot send you automatically these from our booking system due to the modifications in your booking. We have to make these up manually which can take a while. Thank you for your understanding.
Also @KLM cancelled my flights to Costa Rica (didn't notify me... fine, I was checking) but they have bizarrely rebooked me on just one leg, return from Atlanta to London but no other legs! How does that make sense?
My credit card statement is charged for the flights direct by @KLM and I need an invoice for that transaction to submit my insurance claim, but nothing provided by @KLM actually notes the price paid, just saying For Fait (promotional fare). No help at all from @KLM
@KLM @KLM_UK I have given you all the details in writing via every single platform you have available but only receive an automated response.
Rather than responding to my public tweet with false information why don't you actually deal with my direct enquiry and solve it?
@KLM It does not help. I have done this and it says "Unfortunately it is not possible to request an invoice" and directs me to my travel agent, which I do not have - I booked direct. This is why I am spending so much time trying to get someone from your company to deal with this.
