@EllenJeanAbare HYDRA=the US.
"For 70 years, HYDRA has been secretly feeding crisis, reaping war, and when history did not cooperate, history was changed...HYDRA created a world so chaotic that humanity is finally ready to sacrifice its freedom to gain its security."

@jacki_vinson @zachdavis55555@lawindsor@ggreenwald DeSantis is definitely not a single-issue theocrat.
He also attacks CRT, immigrants, LGBT, abortion, UI, minimum wage, what teachers can say, and what libraries can carry.
He's a throwback to an awful time we hoped we'd left behind.
@therecount So how often are "God" and "faith" mentioned in OSHA regulations? NTSB reports?
Wait, actually, maybe this part of the Bible should be codified:
@YOULIKEMYPACE@BlackMajikMan90 I loved WandaVision at first because I thought we were being set up for some depth, but no, that didn't happen, and the climax we got instead was two simultaneous flying fights, kids being shot at by a government official, and a dick joke.
Plus, this wowzer: 🤮
@501cupcake@_bilaire This utter hatred of government is bizarre. They're like the folks who would rather pay a corporation $200/month for health insurance rather than a $100/month tax for the same coverage.
@501cupcake@_bilaire Weird how libertarians hate government-imposed regulations but have no problems with insurance-imposed regulations, when insurance is likely MORE restrictive, because it's their money they'll have to pay out.
@MelonieMac My relationship was ruined by promiscuity, but it had nothing to do with porn, because my ex had no interest in it.
But she did have very easy access to sex with men.
@ConradBastable I wanted to be an engineer, but hated trig in high school and hoped the math wouldn't get any worse.
Heh.
I failed, with no understanding of the course, and had to go into humanities.
But anyone who cannot understand humanities courses should be turned into Soylent Green.
China is developing new solutions to the landlord-issue.
One of these solutions, being trialed in the province of Zhejiang is as follows. While there is no property tax on one home, the government does have taxes on your second home. Want a third? Taxes go sky-high. This makes it unthinkable to simply use real estate as an investment. President Xi said "houses are for living in, not speculation."
This goes for people and corporations alike. In this way, it is hoped, homes become place for people to live in, not investments for the rich. If it works well in Zhejiang, this policy will likely be rolled out to the whole country.
This is a separate strategy to that used in extreme poverty alleviation where the government builds free or sometimes near-free (1,000 RMB) homes for the poorest communities.

@krassenstein If the DOJ wasn't politicized, Hillary & Joe would've been sent to prison years ago.
It's a good thing insider trading is no longer a crime, or plenty of other members of Congress would join them in the slammer as well.
