Grew up a Power Rangers fan and I've been watching Super Sentai series for fun recently so I'm gonna make a thread talking about the ones I finish
starting with these bozos
So apparently this Letterboxd review is what they’re referencing. Not only does Past Lives not have or rely on ‘cut fruit diaspora’ tropes, it is also from Celine Song’s personal, very similar experience.
Her childhood sweetheart did think about her.
@9819_vishie I feel like beyond the exercise of getting 82-0, I've really been enjoying looking at these teams and thinking about what they would look like in real life
Like you can't tell me this wouldn't be one of the most mindbreaking basketball teams ever put on a court
@Arrowbounce@RiotIksar To add on to that, it's like trying to maintain flexibility for your team in more critical situations when the gamestate is more limited. You don't mind playing a guy you normally wouldn't for a couple more minutes if it means your best guy is available with the game on the line
Enjoyed the show, thought this guy was basically a ken doll in most of the scenes he was in, with everyone else doing the acting around him. Most of his spoken lines were VO over him looking brooding and handsome. In a comedic show, his funny moments fell flat
The thing is that the structural issues with the boys series finale have been showing all season, and even a bit in season 4. The reason that things need to feel like they're actually coming to a climax is that if they don't... it'll be anticlimactic
shai cannot lose this series bro it would be so unfairly damaging for his legacy. a lot of those media members who cry about his playstyle will unfairly rewrite so much of his legacy if they lose this series.
