@VT_Nonna_Suz @RichRaho I dont think that is the case here. I mean, he is correct, the Orthodox Church WILL excommunicate her over this. So I think accusing this priest of being rigid, clerical, and pompous, is being very uncharitable. He has legitimate concerns.
@RichRaho She would be excommunicated by her own church. Orthodox if i am not mistaken forbid their flock from receiving the sacraments from Catholics.
@MRibnek And despite the ways he may have fallen short, he did try to engage in dialogue, you know, be synodal. Maybe instead of trashing him, you could offer him constructive criticism, out of the spirit of charity.
@MRibnek This is a pretty trashy response. Sure there are legitimate criticisms of how Trent Horn could have been more effective. But trashing his character, calling what he is doing "bait", is a very trashy way to criticize someone who is trying to follow Pope Francis wish for dialogue
@redcountysage@jimbretzke Yo, Im as traditional a catholic as they come. But lets not defend capitalism, here. Capitalism is pretty gay honestly. Dont get me wrong, I reject socialism utterly. But capitalism is not a traditional economic system either, and it has been reducing persons into commodities
@NelwynToes@fathereddy@HeidiSchlumpf But, I suppose you will be in the nursing home soon. So I shouldn't really care what you think either, pops.
As an aside, what was your wildest 60's story. What was the craziest thing you did, back in the 60's? Im sure you got some great stories!
