@DemolaRewaju And if Fubara had joined ADC or any opposition party, Tinubu likely wouldn’t have protected him politically. With Wike’s allies controlling the Assembly, impeachment would probably have gone ahead. APC alignment was more about protection than ambition.

@DemolaRewaju You’re missing the survival angle. Fubara didn’t move toward APC to outplay Wike politically, he did it to avoid impeachment. Wike’s allies controlled the Assembly, and Tinubu’s intervention/peace deal was what stopped the removal threat.
