Here's a Thread of all my written and "would-be-written" threads.
Shout out to my brother @dehumblemato for pointing out the need to unionize my threads for easy readability.
Also appreciate Ms. @dawn_immanuel for the good work she's doing. I got a clue from her pinned tweet!π
There's a video making rounds on Twitter about an ex-BBNaija star making ritualistic appeasement at a river with a white goat.
She was recorded kneeling in the river, making motions of prayer to the river spirit, with the priestess dipping the white goat multiple times in the river.
Let's examine the possible events that may have led to that moment.
This particular star must have had a need or desire.
She then promptly realized she needed spiritual advantage.
So she consulted a spiritist who recommended she make an offering to the river spirit.
Fellow Christians, this is what we have been talking to you about.
Those on Twitter who tell you everything is not prayer, everything is not church, God is not real, church is the problem of Nigeria etc.;
THEY ALL HAVE SPIRITUAL ADVANTAGES!
Do not be deceived. Do not be.
If you move in the circles of some "prophets" and Islamic clerics, you will discover the number of enchantments, soaps, and spiritual preparations being way billed to Nigerians abroad and you will be shocked!
We know this for a fact.
This world is spiritual. Look beyond the glitz and glamor, look beyond the social exterior of bougie.
Look beyond the naturalists, those who say nothing supernatural affect this world. Those who say all there is just the material world.
This, sadly, includes some Christians too. They have despiritualized reality so much that they downplay the reality of spiritual things dictating affairs in our lives.
Look beyond the Twitter talks about church being a distraction. Nigerians are very diabolical.
They have a solid bench of spiritists they consult.
Your co-workers, business partners, neighbors, etc., have spiritual advantages.
Finally, stay in God.
Pray, a lot.
Be strong in the power of your God.
Pray, fast, and study the word.
That is how we win in this life.
Do not let anyone tell you praying is a distraction.
Remember, they are praying to river spirits, too.
God help you, amen.
Long personal vulnerable talks are not for platonic friends of the opposite sex.
Don't awaken romantic desire in a person by long affectionate chats and calls when you're not committed.
It's sinful.
After this tweet, you can no longer claim ignorance. Repent of that conduct.
If you need to talk to someone, talk to someone of the same sex who is a friend. Form good meaningful friendship with brethren of the same gender.
If you notice your talk with someone of the opposite sex is getting deep and it's looking like talking stage has started, immediately have a conversation with them to clear the air on what both your intentions are. ALWAYS DEFINE YOUR RELATIONSHIP.
Ambiguity in relationships of the opposite sex is a sign that one or both of the people involved are sinful.
There is no place for ambiguous or unclear relationships for single Christians.
Furthermore, If it will proceed into a romantic commitment then state it. Tell your elders and do it transparently and with a clear conscience.
If it's still platonic then stop talking deeply. Stop long calls and chats. Stop being the last person they talk to and the first person they talk to.
Stop asking if they've eaten. You're not their parent of lover.
There's a reason why when a person ghosts after talking stage, it's so heartbreaking and feels like an actual break up.
It's because even talking is ROMANCE. It is a benefit for relationships.
You cannot say you didn't actually ask the person out so you're surprised that the person is heart broken after you ghosted them.
It's silly. It's sinful.
You may have been doing it before. Stop it now.
Christian purity doest start at "no sexual contact". It starts from a pure mind which affects how you treat people.
Stop doing talking stage with people you're not in a relationship with.
And anyone who can do talking stage with more than one person can commit adultery.
I said what I said. Take it or leave it.
Most ladies I know hate it, but nobody's talking..
It's cultural, but I so hate it and believe it should be abolished because, what does that even mean??
As per say na me and you dey marry am okwa ya??π
Guys, don't give anyone the leisure to call your woman "our wife."
@TheOnifeloluwa@OAE_Offering That's a woman make-up.
Men always want to help, but most often don't know where & how to help.
I've learnt to just look and listen as they talk freely; hence they can easily ask for advice or tell me what they've purposed in their heart to do.
Women just need to be studied!
@stephanieorkuma It's obvious that he wasn't the right one for you..
You're a good woman who knows herself and what she wants, and I assure you: the man you truly deserve who will be proud of who you are, receive your love with all of him and love you as much or even more will surely come.
@OAE_Offering@TheOnifeloluwa I totally agree.
I can't be asking that cos it's not necessary if you ask me.
Everything boils down to just being observant and paying attention.
If you'd listen and observe where she's at from all she's said, you'll almost always know the right thing to do or say to her.
I want to raise sons who are both safe and dangerous.
Safe for a wife, for kids, for friends, for his church. Safe for dealing gently with the sheep. A safe harbor in a storm.
Dangerous to darkness and to foes. Dangerous to wolves. Capable of rightly directed violence.
You're right to be wrong, but you're never right if you're wrong!
You may have ignorantly believed what you believed at the time you did, but now that you know better, switch places ASAP.
Knowledge and light is progressive.
that's what I preach!
I don't preach self love; I preach SELF DENIAL like Jesus preached!!
How we love ourselves is by offering our bodies a living sacrifice; and it is with that AGAPE of God shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost that we love our neighbors as we ought.
I hear people everywhere preach about self love..
Listening to Pst. Deola moments ago, she quotes 1 Timothy 3:1-2, and a line in there strikes me real hard: "for men shall be lovers of their own selves.."
For men shall be lovers of their own selves..
π€
Jesus never preached self love: he preached love toward God and men.
However, regarding how we handle ourselves, he declared: "If any man will come after me, LET HIM DENY HIMSELF..."
Self love is not the gospel; self denial is: that was what Jesus preached, and...
