Firstly I am so grateful for the love and support you have shown me over the last 2 years especially towards the end of this season. From the minute I walked through the door i fell in love with this club.

I want to thank all the staff and players for welcoming me and making my time here so enjoyable, this club gave me the opportunity to grow as a player and a person.

Nottingham Forest is delighted to announce the appointment of Oliver Glasner as the Club’s new Head Coach.

One of Europe's most respected and progressive coaches, Glasner joins Forest with an outstanding reputation for developing players, building ambitious attacking teams and delivering success at the highest level of the game. His leadership, tactical expertise and winning mentality make him the ideal person to lead the Club into its next chapter.

Glasner arrives at Forest having become only the third head coach to win both the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Conference League. His European success, together with domestic silverware in England, underlines his track record of building winning teams.

He guided VfL Wolfsburg to UEFA Champions League qualification before leading Eintracht Frankfurt to victory in the 2021/22 UEFA Europa League, securing the club's first major European trophy in more than four decades. During his time in Germany, his teams earned widespread admiration for their intensity, tactical organisation and attacking style of play.

Most recently, Glasner made an immediate impact in English football, winning the 2024/25 FA Cup in his first full season in the Premier League, followed by the FA Community Shield, before going on to win the UEFA Conference League the following season.

Speaking of his appointment, Oliver Glasner said:

“I’m delighted to join Nottingham Forest as head coach. From my very first conversations with the owner and the leadership team, it was evident to me that they have a clear vision for this football club and complete trust and belief in me and my staff to build a strong future together over the long term. That trust and shared commitment, together with the potential that I see within the squad, were key factors for me and I am excited about what we can achieve together.

🚨 It’s over between director Edu Gaspar and Nottingham Forest.

The Brazilian director will part ways with Forest very soon, it’s all decided internally.

Edu has been big part of Arsenal rebuilding for 5 years, signed at Forest in July 2025 but now set to leave as relationship with ownership is broken.

Nottingham Forest Football Club can confirm that after a series of disappointing results and performances, Ange Postecoglou has been relieved of his duties as head coach with immediate effect.

The Club will make no further comment at this time.

Nottingham Forest is delighted to confirm the appointment of Ange Postecoglou as the Club’s First Team Head Coach.

Postecoglou has been in management for over 25 years, arriving on Trentside with experience of regularly competing and winning trophies at the highest level.

After enjoying very successful seasons with Brisbane Roar and Yokohama F. Marinos, winning the League with both clubs, he was appointed manager of Celtic in June 2021. A successful tenure in Glasgow saw Postecoglou win the domestic double in his first season in Scotland and the treble in his second year, which earned him a nomination for the FIFA World Coach of the Year in 2023.

Moving to England to take over at Tottenham Hotspur, who finished fifth in his first season, Postecoglou guided Spurs to their first major trophy in 17 years, winning the Europa League in 2024/25 and qualifying for the Champions League.

Owner, Evangelos Marinakis, said of Postecoglou’s appointment: “We are bringing a coach to the Club who has a proven and consistent record of winning trophies. His experience of coaching teams at the highest level, along with his desire to build something special with us at Forest, makes him a fantastic person to help us on our journey and achieve consistently all our ambitions.

“After gaining promotion to the Premier League, then building consistently season after season to secure European football, we now must take the right step to compete with the very best and challenge for trophies. Ange has the credentials and the track-record to do this, and we are excited he is joining us on our ambitious journey."
