The Two-Pot System is fascinating when you really think about it.
Government says you can’t freely access your retirement money because it must protect you from making bad financial decisions.
Fair enough. But if you’re financially desperate and withdraw the little they DO allow you to access, SARS immediately wants tax from it. So apparently you’re not responsible enough to decide what to do with your own retirement money… but you’re responsible enough to fund the state from it. Your money is protected from you, not from the taxman. That’s the part nobody talks about.
The opposite is true. As South Africans, we take pride in our nation and our African identity. We don’t measure African unity by how many countries we please, but by mutual respect. We won’t beg for acceptance or force ourselves where we’re not respected.
South Africa:
"Is the term xenophobic or Afriphobia reserved for South Africa alone?" "It can't be our responsibility alone to provide solutions to all the hardships confronting the continent".

Meet Michigan dad Ray Lucas who ran into a fully burning house and carried his 18-month-old twin daughters out against his chest.
He walked out with third-degree burns.
They walked out alive.
Remember those “rich” Nigerian boys in Cape Town who claimed they were crypto traders? They’re now appearing in court, and reports say they could only afford R1,000 bail. These guys fake it until they make it😂😂
We have picked up on a disturbing trend among many foreign-owned spaza shops: selling products from brands not officially distributed in South Africa. We found mealie meal from unknown brands, as well as uncertified diapers.
Tragically, due to the high cost of living many residents are forced to buy these unvetted goods. During our search, we confiscated beauty products hidden in the ceiling, unregistered medicines, and brake fluid stored directly next to food sold for human consumption.
This is inhumane. We arrested the employees found on-site at the various spaza shops and shut them down.

We discovered 33 illegally constructed backrooms located behind a foreign-owned spaza shop. Upon our arrival, several tenants fled the scene.
The owner of the property and one foreign national working at the spaza shop were arrested.
In addition, Eskom disconnected an illegal electricity connection. @CityTshwane
A Palestinian girl has taken over her journalist mother's duties after she was killed by the Israeli army.
An 11-year-old war correspondent in Gaza: Israel has killed countless journalists, including her mother. Will they kill this talented girl too?
We found a green ID book that we suspect has been altered. The owner was nowhere to be found.
A tracking number will be used to identify the original owner with the Department of Home Affairs.
