Everyone else advertises being fast. We advertise being the friendliest, most professional, best smelling messenger service in NYC. That fastest bit is a given.
Please don’t tell messengers to “stay warm out there today” (projected high 20F/-6C)
Instead give bike messengers a cash tip every time they step through your door, which will actually help them keep warm.
@JimmyVanBramer Now seems like a good time to talk to @nyrr about moving the Queens 10k from flushing meadows to the waterfront.
I love FM, but running around the highways… it’s not the most scenic part of Queens.
@ChaseSupport Just gonna point out, that you're the one that sent me an old fashioned letter saying I have to call you.
Which I did, only for you to leave me on hold for an hour and half (still holding).
That's some childish stuff, man! Do you want to talk to me or not?
@ChaseSupport You know that a waiting more than 75 minutes to talk to business customer service is not a way to demonstrate that you value my business or appreciate this opportunity to serve me, right?
Cause, I'm kind of getting mixed messages right now.
@nycmarathon@nyrr I'm sure there's a VERY GOOD reason why over-the-shoulder hydration packs aren't allowed at the marathon, but can you please explain it to me for the people in the back? #nycmarathon#nyrr
@kairyssdal Couriers and Messengers predominantly serve dense, urban cores. Materials that were being sent across town via bike messenger are now being sent across multiple counties via UPS and FedEx.
You don’t need couriers to make cross town deliveries that no longer exist.
“EVERYONE STAY HOME AND DONT INTERACT WITH ANYONE OR ANYTHING!
...except for you, grocers and messengers. You go out and touch everyone and everything!
No, we don’t have a bathroom you can use.
And please don’t buy gloves or masks.
We need those for people that matter.”
We don’t need credit. We don’t need loans. We need a plan for lost revenue on an epic scale. During the great depression we were a manufacturing society. As a service economy, loans don’t help anyone, they just postpone the inevitable.
@CoreyinNYC as a small business owner that employs 20 people that cannot work from home, I need some advice. We don’t qualify for a grant. Our revenue is being lost, not deferred. What good does a loan do us? We can’t afford 2 weeks of payroll w/o new business, forget 8 weeks.
General ambivalence about @awkwafina to active dislike in under 3 stops on the @MTA’s 7 train.
So, great marketing @ComedyCentral + @MTA!
This is probably the thing that finally forces me to sign up for @Uber
October 9th is International Bike Messenger Appreciation Day.
Despite being a vital link in communications, distribution and logistics for most major industries, bike messengers are rarely recognized for the… https://t.co/hvBQ1ocHvK
