Christmas came early for almost 800 talented Wits students who had their student debt cleared this week, amounting to R63 million collectively. These undergraduate and postgraduate students, many from the missing middle, have achieved an average of 65% or higher but lacked the means to pay their fees in full.

The Afrotropical Streams and Rivers Book has been finally published online by Elsevier (https://t.co/n9cyGvmG8A). Thank you to all the authors who contributed to make this book project a success. The book includes 29 chapters.
Deadline for applications is 30th September 2024, and the call is restricted to researchers with 2–8 years postgraduate/postdoctoral experience, excluding periods of leave.
