Sexism in sports has even a prevalent issue. Women do not receive the same amount of respect as men do. Female athletes put in the same amount of work as male athletes but tend to go unrecognized. There needs to be a change in the appreciation of women's sports! #1ACLN

In basketball, the pay for athletes tends to be based on the revenue. Revenue is the amount of money the team is generating. Male athletes tend to get 50% of the revenue the team generated while female athletes only get 25% of the revenue generated by their team. #1ACLN

For more than half of my life, I played basketball. It was my passion from 3rd grade all the way to 12th grade. With that being said, I saw a lot of sexism in the basketball world and decided that the topic I wanted to research had to go with that theme! #1ACLN
