#Kashmir, a sacred land where Kashmiri Shaivism was born and books like Vigyan Bhairav Tantra was first compiled, has not just seen ethnic cleansing of pandits in the last 40 years but also complete disappearance of sages and spiritual practices. The place is now an example of what Islamic #terrorism does to other cultures. #Pahalgam is the latest example of this extreme intolerance. It doesn't matter how hard we try, it seems we will not be able to revive our culture.

CM @OmarAbdullah will probably try his best to restore some peace again. But he and his people are not invested in the old civilization and there is no expectation that they will ever want to achieve anything more than peace or a truce. They don't identify with anything that existed in the ancient culture for which Kashmir holds a great significance.

The deaths are painful, but the episodes are probably endless.

@amitmalviya There should have never been any confusion around this point. In our most recited epic Ramcharitmanas, so many widows, like King Dasharatha's wives or Ravana's wife, never performed sati after death of their husbands. This was never a mainstream practice before Islamic invasions.

@tehseenp Agree on 1) & 2). 3) is stupid. PM didn't say don't go abroad for work or study. He wants us to avoid non-essential foreign trips (ex. holidays, destination weddings.) 4) Counterproductive for BJP to stop freebies while opponents continue with it - and hand them over a free win.

A welcome change. Should lead to better understanding and wider acceptance of tree-based farming. For every acre of agricultural land, there must be at least two bovine animals. When soil is enriched with tree litter and animal waste, it will decrease dependence on chemical-based fertilizers, reduce input cost and enhance crop health & farmer income. -Sg

Please bring some good sense to media moguls like @sardesairajdeep. Too much media and political equity has gone into building certain narratives in India for decades. It is this equity which is being fiercely protected now.

There are 9 FIRs and an intense investigation that had women police officers go undercover to check what’s happening there. 3 more of those affected have recorded their statements and we already have people dismissing the women’s lived experiences by calling it bogus. TCS has issued a tepid statement full of PR buzz words without addressing how a Jihadi nexus was targeting Hindu women in their company. They have merely “SUSPENDED” the jihadis.
