@TylerLaFrance Really? You don’t see the foundational fact about the zags schedule I’m making here? I think your just looking for the last word 🤷🏽♂️ again, a sensitive bunch lol
@TylerLaFrance Lol I gave you some facts too, the reality of not playing 12 road games against P5 teams in one season is real.
Yeah I already know Zag fans are a sensitive bunch, it’s all good
@TylerLaFrance Ok but that % still isn’t really a fair comparison
That means typical Big10 team (counting Conf&NCAA tourny) is playing 30-33 P5 games, 11-13 being true road games in one season.
And its those 12 road games on Tue or Sat morning where end up taking L’s
@EvanMiya I don’t see how Saint-Surrey is on here over players like Donovan Dent UCLA
Zoom Diallo UW
Sam Hoiberg Nebraska
Counsil Jr Kansas
Ebuka Okorie Stanford
I think this is the problem with efficiency metrics over a reality of actual talent that Pro scouts gauge
@TylerLaFrance@Bucksin62@BracketNky I think you may over-value the WCC. I look heavily at team rosters and the talent is where it is. Saint Mary’s was supposed be this amazing team the last few yrs. They lose to UCLA 2nd round and in the 1st round to Grand Canyon, so ya not convinced
@jacob_scheck@BracketNky@ul_troll I’m not saying that Saint Mary’s isn’t good, but there best wins are going to be Nebraska, Gonzaga, & USC. With some losses to the MW. That’s just not good enough to jump some of those Big 10 teams in the seed line that will have 15-20 quality games
@TylerLaFrance@Bucksin62@BracketNky Yeah those are 2 good wins, the problem is when you only have 2-4 quality games and the Big Ten teams I’ve mentioned are going to end up playing 15 -20 quality games, Saint Mary’s doesn’t deserve to jump them in the seed line
@ZachSSPod@BracketNky@ul_troll Yes this a valid argument, I want more of this. The Nebraska win is a decent win. But they don’t have enough quality wins to be so highly ranked
Last year Saint Mary’s didn’t beat anyone in the P5 and got a 5 seed 🤦🏽♂️and lost in the 1st round to GrandCanyon
@ZachSSPod@BracketNky@ul_troll That’s fine, but it’s ridiculous to see Saint Mary’s rise in the seed line above UCLA, Oregon, and Illinois. These are better teams playing harder schedules falling in seed under a lesser team playing a worse schedule
@Bucksin62@BracketNky You know what’s really dumb? Seeing Saint Mary’s rise in the seed line above UCLA, Oregon, and Illinois, that’s dumb. Better teams playing harder schedules falling behind lesser teams with worse schedules
@BracketNky@thE_House7 The reality is the all the best teams are in the P5. How can I assume that? Look at recruiting, 5 star talent goes to P5 schools. NIL, all the money is in the P5 so all the best transfers land in there. That doesn’t mean there aren’t quality teams outside of
@BracketNky@thE_House7 Well we can add schools that schedule well like Gonzaga & San Diego State, Memphis. They actively look to schedule teams in the top 40. But don’t reward mid-major teams tha5 aren’t doing that. That’s flaw in most of these metrics
@dan_antonacci15@BracketNky I just think it’s safe to assume year to year that the teams at the top of the power conferences make up your top 40. And we can add teams like Gonzaga, Memphis, San Diego State, because they schedule so well in non-conference
@BracketNky@ul_troll Obviously there are good teams outside of these conferences, but let’s not pretend that the majority of talent with NIL isn’t landing at the top40.
I’m tired of seeing metric systems rewarding schools with a lack of quality wins ie Saint Mary’s
@UCLAMBB Ok the unstoppable, unguardable, matchup nightmare, that opposing offenses won’t score on big lineup, cuts the nets down with
Pg Sky Clark
SG Kobe, or Lars (if Kobe can’t hit 3’s)
SF Dailey Jr - Scary athletic at SF
PF Bilodeau - dominates PF
C Aday Mara
@UCLAMBB@IntuitDome I don’t get why you guys keep scheduling the Zags. They’re going to beat you again.
Because the Zags need this game more than UCLA does. You have plenty of quality games in the Big 10. You get a desperate team in need of a quality W, and your taking the L
