The good people at NTSA have informed me that my DL is ready. I applied for it last October.
Lakini if it was a fine for speeding they would want me to pay today today
During the protest to condemn fuel price increase on 18-19 May 2026, 20 Kenyans were killed by police.
To date, not a single police officer has been held to account. Meaning the killers are still out there waiting for their next victim.
@VOCALAfrica_ we continue to work with families in the hope that justice will be done.
@citizentvkenya The issue is not whether there was a tax on freehold land, mitumba, bottled water, or rental income. The issue is that Kenyans were presented with a Finance Bill that sought to raise more revenue from citizens who are already struggling with a high cost of living& unemployment.
Kenyans are being asked to pay more taxes through the Finance Bill 2026, yet the 2026/27 Budget hides KSh 101.37 billion under a vague item called “Other Operating Expenses.” No programme. No purpose. No accountability.
Before taxing Kenyans another shilling, Parliament must clean up the budget. We cannot finance opacity with taxpayers’ sweat.

Why can’t the government just decide: let’s step aside and keep police off the streets, and allow people to protest freely. Then we can see whether they will actually damage anything.
To me, I believe a lot of destruction during protests happens because of police presence. Once tear gas is used, people become angry, and others start treating it like a game or a confrontation.
Why not think differently and say: today there will be no police on the streets, let people walk and express themselves freely. If things become truly dangerous, then police can step in.
But justice must be served for the heroes of 2024 who died on the streets.
Remember Richard Omollo, a blogger who criticed @KuriaKimaniMP , who was brutally murdered on Jan 18, 2025 at his residence in Elburgon,Molo.
Investigations pointed to a hired hit, with a mastermind allegedly paid to orchestrate it.
Does it add up now? 🤔
"Stop selling your IDs for KSh 1,000!" A Catholic priest in Ol Kalou has introduced a new rule in his parish requiring residents to present their IDs before service, after many were accused of selling their IDs ahead of the upcoming by-election.
Ruto is promising compensation while still threatening Kenyans with more violence and killings if they come out to demonstrate on June 25, 2026. Compensation will not stop extrajudicial killings; occupying State House and arresting Ruto, his enablers, and all police officers...
As Kenyans, we cannot remain silent as @MarthaKarua is reportedly being held incommunicado in Uganda. 😡
This is a blatant violation of fundamental rights and an attack on the principles of justice, due process, and the rule of law that our region claims to uphold. Regardless of political differences, every citizen deserves access to legal representation, communication, and protection under the law.
The Ugandan authorities must immediately account for her whereabouts, guarantee her safety, and uphold her rights.
East Africa cannot champion democracy on paper while tolerating actions that undermine it in practice. 😣
We cry about entitled Gen Z/school kids but stay silent when UDA treat the supreme law of the land like a marriage dowry that guarantees them 10 years. Ruto isn't even guaranteed to finish a single full term if the electorate decides enough is enough. Power belongs to the people.
