We hear from the @Lionesses' Lead Physiotherapist Alicia Tang and Lead Performance Doctor, Ritan Mehta...
Very excited to announce this funded PhD with @EnglandFootball@premierleague @UWS_Sport @chiuni. We will be investigating Talent ID in under-represented communities in women's football. A very timely and topical PhD. RTs appreciated. Details👇.

2 days ago I randomly bumped into the doctor who in 2017 told me “the good news is the problem you have in your hip can be fixed but you won’t be able to play professional sport again.” I think we dispelled that myth the last 5 days.😉Goodnight ❤️
Beth Mead - Didn’t make Olympics Squad last year.
- Wins Player of the Tournament and Golden Boot at the EUROs.
Chloe Kelly. Misses the Olympics after tearing her ACL.
- Scores the winner in a EUROs Final.
Two incredible stories. #WEURO2022
Chloe Kelly grew up six miles from Wembley taking the 92 bus from Ealing to games.
She would have missed the tournament had it happened as planned in 2021 after a dreaded ACL injury in May last year.
She came back in April and now she’s scored the winner in a Euros final! 👏
The last time England won a major football trophy women were banned from playing football.
What a moment for all those who battled before to get this current crop here 🙌🏻 #WEURO2022
@kevinmurphy06 Huge congratulations to you all! No doubt you have more than earned every success. Football needs more like you! 🙌🏼 enjoy the celebrations xxx
When it comes to recovery, there's a lot of junk that doesn't work. We reach for a super supplement, instead of what actually works:
1. Sleep ~8 hours
2. Hydrate adequately
3. Socialize with friends
4. Have a way to decompress
5. Eat enough real food
6. Slow/easy exercise
My rule when I was coaching college kids: always leave my door open.
Athletes knew they could stop by, talk, sit and do homework, or just lounge around. And they did.
It was simple, but one of the most effective team bonding/culture things we did.
Why? Let's explore.
'Break the bias. Join the revolution.'
