According to Haryana and Punjab Agricultural Universities Act, 1970 appointment is only to be made by chancellor provided when the member of the board aren’t in agreement with each other…and all members agreed in this case.

ਇਹ ਧਰਨਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਖਾਲੀ ਅਸਾਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਰਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ,ਸਗੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਮੁੱਖ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਲੜ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਤਕਨੀਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਕੀਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਹੂਣੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡਾ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਝੱਲਣਾ ਪੈ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
