Girl dad of three; 99% vegetarian (respect environment & animals); advocate for public-private partnerships to foster socioeconomic development (views my own!)
Enjoyed spending day with UNICEF/ITU teams & other thought leaders to discuss solutions, business models & financing arrangements (#GIGA program) to ensure ALL CHILDREN benefit from Internet access & e-learning. @OneWeb applauds their staff’s tremendous progress & collaboration.
Proud to announce a collaboration wirh SoftBank to help #GIGA (@unicef and @ITU) create open source financial advisory services and models for financing global connectivity .. welcome to madness, team 🚀🚀

Just learning about this real "super hero" - a patient who required transplant surgeries and then dedicated her life to raising awareness for organ donations, which also materialized into the enactment of Lauren's Law. This requires anyone applying for or renewing a driver's license or non-driver ID to answer a mandatory question about joining the New York State Donate Life Organ and Tissue Donor Registry.
RIP Lauren -- you reflect the best of humanity and your impact on saving others means generations of people will live longer due to YOU. Your soul and spirit will live through them! Prayers for eternal peace.

Most humans exhibit some type of "evilness" - for some, it's their racism and longing for a monolithic America. I truly believe it's an increasingly small percentage of our society.
And that's a bold statement from someone, like me, who was called a "sand n*****" growing up at times.
That is why it's critical to teach the darkest periods of American and world history, proactively support elections, community programs/investments, etc. that support unity, and rid our society of systemic racism that permeates throughout our our economy and society (e.g., lack of access to healthcare, legal services, educational support, quality environment, etc.)
@BarackObama Agreed - most fulfilling act of life (having kids, loving and guiding them, watching their innocence and growth, receiving their appreciation, and hopefully seeing them repeat with their own children - GOLD!)
@JessicaTarlov Historians should record every bit of hatred, incompetence, division and impropriety so future Americans never allow a rinse and repeat by a future President.
We both come from Chicago and supported our Bulls during the 1980s and 90s. Game 5 (Bulls vs. Knicks) of the Eastern Conf. Finals in 1993 still constitutes the greatest playoff game EVER. Bulls won that 5th game at MSG.
I am very happy for these Knicks and Knicks Nation -- great group of decent, classy, highly-likeable players - proud of them and their organization.
@jalenbrunson1 and Patrick Ewing are the greatest Knicks ever.
Every young kid should look up to Jalen Brunson as their role model -- excellence across work ethic, effort, attitude, team spirit, temperament, and humility. One of a kind!!
Tragic—for all the innovative equipment the IDF has for surveillance and detection, there is simply no excuse. Too many of the IDF soldiers are young, drafted Israelis who have little experience and are trigger-happy when they get nervous.
So sorry, little one - may your soul RIP and your Mom recover, and may we never forget how leaders of Hamas and Israelis, in their stupid, senseless fight (started by the former but magnified by the latter), led to countless innocent civilians dying for no other reason than simply being present at the wrong place at the wrong time, often with no warning about the pending strike.
I hope our next US President ties all Israeli weaponry sales to a detailed set of rules that prevent war crimes (e.g., not using white phosphorus) and incorporates countless steps to prevent civilian casualties.
Ugh! A negotiating tactic, hopefully, but an unfortunate announcement nonetheless.
Hammond sits next to a heavily industrialized part of northwest Indiana. It serves as a major hub for manufacturing, logistics, and refining. The Whiting refinery is the nation's 8th largest and spills into Hammond, literally and figuratively. Put a mask on the cute Bear logo.
Good luck to Bears fans in breathing the toxic air during games. Hopefully, any future practice facility will be located in a more environmentally friendly area.
@AndebrhanHintsa Interesting article about the Florsheim shoes POTUS has gifted to his male cabinet members and their lawsuit against the admininstration over tariffs https://t.co/Ku5QU7ucPv
On Memorial Day, we pay tribute to the brave men and women in uniform who gave their lives for this country that we love. It is a debt we can never fully repay, but we must never stop trying. I’ll always be grateful to our fallen heroes and their families, whose sacrifice reminds us of what it means to live for something greater than ourselves.
@CNN Nonsensical, cruel, and very anti-American since many Green Card applicants have been active members of America's economy and community for several years...sad and hope courts block this absurd policy.
Wow! As a former Chicagoan and Cubs fan, I never understood why supporters of either team couldn’t root for the other during the 99% of the time they weren’t playing each other.
Before interleague play began in 1997, the Cubs and White Sox never played each other, so there was no real on-field rivalry to begin with. The so-called rivalry has always seemed driven more by fan culture and the desire to put down the “other side” than by baseball itself.
Two teams, one city, separated by just 11 miles — you’d think there would’ve been more shared pride than division.
I'll also share that I enjoyed the White Sox winning the World Series in 2005 as much as the Cubs winning in 2016. And now living in the DC suburbs, I follow the Nationals, but always happy to see the Orioles win. Would love to see a World Series among either of these neighboring teams.
I share the "fairly depressed" feeling from the perspective that a large share of recent and future college grads (across many fields) will not have the opportunity that I've had to learn, grow and mature in their respective fields through the hard (and rewarding) work of thinking, planning, researching, analyzing, writing, presenting, debating, implementing, tracking, etc. -- and then taking on bigger projects with those developed skills.
Agentic AI will replace these functions, and whoever remains in the workforce will then be responsible for validating outputs, assessing risks/benefits, intervening at high-stakes decision points, and convening stakeholders - things we do today, but they'll have more time for the latter set of tasks.
Certainly a fundamental change in the roles & responsibilities of the knowledge worker.... analogous to how commercial pilots let computers fly the plane but intervene during moments of turbulence and, of course, taking off & landing.
George H.W. Bush kept his assets in a blind trust, as did Bill Clinton. Neither Obama nor Biden traded stocks or bonds while in office. 3,700 trades is probably more than all the trades of all the presidents until now. And he is trading stocks that are affected by his decisions. A walking conflict of interest, at the least, and perhaps insider trading. Just as members of Congress should not be able to trade stocks, so too the president. https://t.co/yDqVXWfDgc
This one hurts. Jason Collins was a pioneer. He had courage like you've never seen. He was an incredible teammate. And having him in Brooklyn at the start of my coaching journey meant so much. Those who knew him were blessed to call him a friend. You are already missed my brother. Rest in power. 💔
A group of House Democrats is urging the Trump administration to acknowledge Israel’s undeclared nuclear weapons program, a move that would abandon decades of U.S. policy but confirm what has been an open secret among intelligence officials. https://t.co/qBBL4b2cCX
@CNN Oh no...but the good news --> optional
"Another department official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the Trump-themed passports would only be available at in-person appointments in Washington "for as long as there is availability".
God’s heart is torn apart by wars, violence, injustice and lies. But our Father’s heart is not with the wicked, the arrogant, or the proud. God’s heart is with the little ones and the humble, and with them He builds up His Kingdom of love and peace day by day. Wherever there is love and service, God is there. #ApostolicJourney #Algeria
