See I don’t get this. It’s really dependent on where you are and your job. When I was living in an afghan dudes house for 7 months called “the strong point” on my first tour it was MREs or whatever we could buy or steal from nearby FOBs. My second tour I was in an airbase and every Thursday was steak and lobster. Idk why feeding our troops well is a hot issue for anyone. They stay awake for days on end, in regular triple degree heat, often no time for a shower (or no ability to), in areas where people want to kill them. Who gives a fuck if we spend a little more to feed them?

Your average Soldier e1-e4 in a 4 year contract will not make more than the cost of most munitions they fire. Why the fuck is this an issue?
