CSU Pueblo has been making an extremely convincing argument this last week that they are the best team in the RMAC, which includes their 80-69 statement win over UCCS on Tuesday night (5/10/26).
The Thunderwolves’ showed why they have the best defense in the conference, as their stifling play held the conference’s #1 offense that was averaging 88.3 points per game to just 69 points, which is 19 points under their average.
If you didn’t know, Dylan Sanders is a problem opposing teams need to figure out. Sanders is the type of player that is willing and able to do whatever the team needs. For example, last night against UCCS and last Thursday against BHSU, he dropped in 20 each game to lead Pueblo to two huge wins. Sanders, however, can also pull down boards, dish out assists, and always plays great defense.
Ty Adam also had a huge game for the Thunderwolves, providing an emotional spark with his physical play and slam dunks. For the game, Adam had 14 points on 7 of 8 (87.5%) shooting from the field.
Leading Pueblo to the win were:
🏀 Dylan Sanders, 20 Pts, 4 Rebs, & 3 Asts;
🏀 Jordan Blair, 14 Pts, 9 Rebs, & 2 Asts;
🏀 Ty Adam, 14 Pts & 4 Rebs; &
🏀 Bryce Riehl, 12 Pts, 2 Rebs, & 2 Asts.
Pueblo will look to continue rolling on Thursday when they head north to take on CO Christian.
Here are a few of Pueblo’s highlights from last night’s win:

@KevinHastings@Bamaville502@RossDellenger@mikerodak@YahooSports I repeat….It’s ironic that NIL is being scrutinized now that athletes are finally receiving compensation that reflects their value when for decades, institutions, boosters, & wealthy individuals profited freely from their talent & likeness without question.
Make that make sense.

@jimiuorio@RossDellenger@Zigmanfreud@YahooSports Most college students don’t finish in 4years…more often, it takes five years to complete their undergrad degree. So why would student-athletes be held to a stricter timeline? What’s fair & reasonable is 5years, giving the same opportunity to finish their degree as non-athletes.
@Savage90623337@NCAA It’s ironic that eligibility & NIL are scrutinized now that athletes are having the opportunity to receive undergrad & advance degrees. Also finally receiving compensation reflecting their value when for decades, institutions &boosters have profited from their without question.
@Ringbanggol@NCAA It’s amazing how John Reynolds Sr. and company have nothing to say about that. Every situation is different—everything doesn’t fit into the same box.
@TrueSouthernUSA@ShaneTuttleNCAA For decades, the system was considered fine when schools & boosters were making massive revenue off athletes’ performance, image, & labor. Now athletes have a pathway to benefit through NIL, suddenly there’s all this concern about structure and fairness. The hypocrisy of it all!
@OryatBalanceBox@ShaneTuttleNCAA Exactly It’s ironic that NIL is being scrutinized now that athletes are finally receiving compensation that reflects their value—when for decades, institutions, boosters, and wealthy individuals profited freely from their talent and likeness without question
