1️⃣ Be careful about allowing everyone into your home. Not every person comes with good intentions or good energy. Protect your space, your peace, and your household.
2️⃣ Once in a while, go and consult. Prayer is important, but it is also important to understand what is happening in your spiritual journey. Do not only seek guidance when things are falling apart. Sometimes your ancestors simply want to communicate or check in.
3️⃣ Be mindful of spiritual interference. Engaging in spiritual practices that are not meant for you can create confusion, blockages, and attract forces you do not fully understand.
4️⃣ Be careful of constantly "strengthening" your home with different people and different spiritual methods. Too many hands and too many energies can create imbalance.
5️⃣ Sometimes prayer alone may not address everything. There are situations that require cultural and traditional practices. Respecting your roots does not mean abandoning your faith.
6️⃣ Be very careful when dealing with spirits. Not every spirit is clean, healthy, or comes with good intentions. Some spirits should simply be left alone.
Remember, we have both positive and troubled ancestors within our bloodlines. At times, a familiar spirit can disguise itself as a trusted ancestor. For example, if a person who lived a deeply religious life appears in a dream demanding something that feels completely out of character or harmful, it is wise to question it and seek proper guidance.
7️⃣ If you grew up in a family where traditional ceremonies and cultural practices were observed, and those practices suddenly stopped, be careful not to neglect your cultural responsibilities. Whether one attends church or not, some traditions remain important cultural obligations. Practices such as imbeleko and other family rituals hold significance for many families and communities.
8️⃣ Be extremely careful with witchcraft, occult practices, signs, symbols, and spirit summoning. Some people underestimate the spiritual world. There are forces that can be difficult to understand and even more difficult to control. Not everything that can be called upon can easily be sent away.
9️⃣ Respect graves and burial sites. These are sacred spaces. They are not places for careless actions or experimentation. Always approach them with respect and caution.
🔟 Not every church is spiritually healthy. If a place of worship constantly brings fear, division, confusion, or pressure, use wisdom and discernment. A spiritual home should bring guidance, growth, and peace, not fear and manipulation.
