JLR has built a community of more than 550,000 subscribers. To viewers like me, he is much more than a true crime creator. He covers breaking news, brings attention to missing people, and follows developing stories. Just as importantly, he supports others instead of focusing only on his own success. From what I have seen, I believe that if I wanted to start a true crime channel and approached him with respect, he would step up and help me, too. I regularly choose his live coverage over local and national news because I appreciate his dedication and the effort he puts into keeping viewers informed.

I was deeply disappointed when he abruptly ended his livestream and later announced that his channel had been demonetized. I do not know the exact reason for YouTube’s decision. I have heard suggestions that it concerns the disclosure of personal information, but I cannot confirm that explanation. In the broadcasts I have watched, I have seen him make an effort to be careful about what he shares.

If specific content violated a policy, YouTube should identify that content, explain the violation clearly, and give him a meaningful opportunity to respond or correct the issue. A decision affecting someone’s livelihood deserves careful consideration, transparency, and a fair appeal.

The content I was creating on these channels was primarily related to films, including my own movie reviews, commentary, explanations, opinions and discussion. My purpose was to create review/commentary-based content for viewers, not simply to upload films as replacements for the original works.
