JUST IN: President Trump says the U.S. carried out more strikes against Iran "in honor" of the "great patriots" who were recently killed in the war with Iran.
Trump says Iran has been "very, very badly damaged" militarily and argues the country no longer poses the same threat, adding, "We control the strait. They don't control anything."
The president also reiterates that Iran "could not have a nuclear weapon" and says the situation will continue to be closely watched.
🚨 JUST IN: Senators Rick Scott and Mike Lee are now demanding GOP leadership CALL OFF August recess until the SAVE America Act is sealed into law
"We have to work 7 days a week!" 🔥
"We actually got 50 votes for the House version of the SAVE America Act!"
"Do everything. Attach it to a spending bill. Attach it to the National Defense Authorization Act."
"We've GOT to stay here. We have to all through August, all through September, all through, I mean, we should work the rest of the year!"
An effort to make daylight saving time permanent is one step closer to becoming law.
The House overwhelmingly passed the Sunshine Protection Act, a bipartisan bill that would allow states to observe daylight saving time year-round.
The measure now heads to the Senate, where its future remains uncertain. President Trump has said he supports ending the seasonal clock changes and is expected to sign the bill if it reaches his desk.
A Democratic New Hampshire lawmaker clocked at over 100 mph is fighting her speeding charges by arguing the state constitution shields her from being stopped by police while traveling to or from legislative session.
State Rep. Ellen Read was hit with two separate speeding cases — one in December 2024 for allegedly driving over 100 mph in Windham, and another in June 2025 for doing 92 in a 65 zone in Londonderry. In both instances, she told officers she was returning from the General Court and displayed her official state representative license plate.
Her legal argument rests on a 1784 constitutional provision that says no legislator "shall be arrested, or held to bail" while going to or from session. A judge already rejected the argument in her first case, finding her guilty and fining her $1,240. The state Supreme Court declined to take up the constitutional question before her second case proceeds.
Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche pushed back on criticism of the Justice Department's handling of the Jeffrey Epstein investigation during a Senate confirmation hearing.
After Sen. Chuck Grassley pressed him about allegations surrounding the Epstein files, Blanche defended the Trump administration's record.
"This administration... has been more transparent than any past administration," Blanche said.
The comments come as lawmakers continue demanding answers about the government's handling of the case.
The fight over daylight saving time is heating up after the House passed President Trump’s bill to stop Americans from changing their clocks twice a year.
Supporters say permanent daylight saving time would end disrupted schedules, give families more evening sunlight, and boost businesses across multiple industries.
But airlines are warning the change could ripple through aviation, impacting sunrise times, passenger schedules, crew and aircraft positioning, and coordination with global flight networks. Sleep experts are also pushing back, arguing permanent standard time is healthier than permanent daylight saving time because it better lines up with the body’s natural clock.
@Grady_Trimble has more.
"If people want to say we mishandled the Epstein release, guilty. We did mishandle it, especially the communications of it."
VP Vance just made a stunning admission about the White House's handling of the Epstein files release, saying the Trump administration "absolutely screwed up" the communications surrounding it.
“Do I think the reason we screwed up the comms was because we were trying to hide something? No.”
Vance told Joe Rogan that the mounting political pressure surrounding the Epstein files, mainly from Democrats, led former Attorney General Pam Bondi to make some ill-advised decisions.
His best explanation: "Pam was trying to respond to the political moment."
TRUMP: "Remember, Obama used to say you'll never have another manufacturing job in the United States. Can you imagine?"
Trump is touting what he calls a manufacturing revival in the U.S., saying the country has added 18,000 manufacturing jobs this year, and it's on the verge of adding many more as new factories open.
Trump also took a jab at former President Obama, criticizing his "bad job" of an economic record and "very bad" job dealing with Iran, saying he empowered Iran through the 2015 nuclear agreement.
