Manchester City and Norway striker Erling Haaland was asked in a recent interview how he felt about Lionel Messi during the World Cup.
“I didn’t get the chance to face him, which is something I was actually hoping for,” Haaland said. “I wanted that match. I wanted to go at him directly and humble him on the biggest stage.”
He continued without holding back:
“FIFA has always protected him. The system bends in his favour and everyone knows it. He’s a fraud who’s been carried by referees and narratives for years. I’m still pissed about the 2023 Ballon d’Or. That award was rigged. He didn’t deserve it, and the whole ceremony felt like a setup to hand it to him.”
Haaland added:
“Players like him get treated like untouchables while others have to fight for every bit of recognition. It’s a joke.”
Today I happen to be travelling by train through one of the most diverse areas of England, one might say its multi-racial. As I sat listening to Asian families returning to big towns from the seaside, a West African lady teaching her little boy nursery rhymes - in English, & a kind young Pakistani lad offered me use of his phone charger; my anger started to rise to bursting. Not with these people, quietly living lives that they have built here, but with the vile politicians of the right whose increasingly xenophobic & racist language must be scaring many of these people. I loathe sh*t stirrers like Lowe & Anderson, how dare they claim to speak for most of us? They don't, & hopefully they never will.
Here's the psychological trick authoritarian politics depends on:
Make you exhausted.
Make outrage constant.
Make corruption boring.
Make cruelty routine.
Make you believe resistance is pointless.
That's why refusing to become numb matters.
Your exhaustion is part of the strategy.
Take a deep breath, keep your fists in the air. Times will get better, as soon as these parasites are removed from office.

One hour after announcing his resignation, U.S. General Randy George, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said:

Denmark just passed a law that every person owns a copyright to their own face, voice, and body. In the age of AI, this places more legal control in a person's hands, and there are real, large consequences and fines for breaking this law.
We need to make this worldwide.
