My father, Robert F. Kennedy, was assassinated 56 years ago today. The day he died, he won both the California primary and the South Dakota primary solidifying his insurgent candidacy as the Democratic nominee for president.

Most on my heart today, as I consider the deep-seated divisiveness that plagues our nation, is the fact that my father succeeded in uniting America. I think he would be proud to know that I plan to do the same.

1. Eliminar para siempre los auxilios económicos.
