The Fort Snelling National Cemetery Memorial Rifle Squad commemorated its 75,000th gun salute Friday, June 1. The squad has performed an average of 17 services a day, with more than 400 Veteran volunteers over the squad’s 39-year history.

World War II Veteran Pfc. Billy Ball, who died during the 1942, was buried Friday, May 4 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Ball, a Missouri native, survived the Bataan Death March in the Philippines but died at a prison camp.

The Florence Veterans Honor Guard gave a final salute to fallen veterans at the Florence National Cemetery. The Veterans Memorial Tribute Program paid final respects to 29 men and woman who did not receive military honors when they were laid to rest.
