The overwhelming majority of Auschwitz victims, approximately 900,000 Jews, were murdered in gas chambers immediately after arrival, without going through the camp registration procedure. Since they never formally became prisoners, the camp bureaucracy, including the registry office, did not issue death certificates for them.

Even in the case of Jews who were registered as prisoners, the system of documenting their deaths was deliberately restricted. From mid-February 1943, the camp registry office (Standesamt) began to drastically limit, and from March completely stopped, issuing death certificates for Jews brought in mass RSHA transports. This means that Jews who died in the camp after that point do not appear in the death books at all.

In the first period of the camp’s operation, from 1940 to 1941, Poles constituted the vast majority of registered prisoners, and their deaths were then recorded meticulously. Since Christian prisoners were entered into the records more often than Jews, 90% of whom were killed without receiving numbers, their names naturally appear more frequently in the surviving administrative death documentation.

Only around 70,000 death certificates in 48 volumes of death books have survived. This represents only a small fragment of the original documentation, which the Germans destroyed on a massive scale before the evacuation of the camp in order to erase traces of their crimes.

Anyone analysing only the Sterbebücher sees information about only around 70,000 of the 200,000 prisoners who died “inside” the camp system, while completely omitting nearly one million people, mainly Jews, whose deaths in the gas chambers were never recorded in death certificates.

Hello again.

We’re currently in Clemson, South Carolina. I’ve decided to come back here to document the final part of our road trip.

The main reason I deactivated my account two weeks ago was that things became increasingly toxic. For some people, it’s unfortunately unfathomable that a good story can exist without some kind of hidden agenda behind it. There was even a Reddit group going through my entire account trying to find anything they could use to reveal my identity.

I know this was only a small percentage of people, but after a while it became exhausting. During the last two weeks, I received so many kind messages on Instagram, and they really made me realize how many people genuinely enjoyed following the trip. Some people even told me that their grandparents regularly ask them, “What are the Germans up to today?” I think that’s really cool.

I decided to continue because I realized that the overwhelming majority of people loved following along. A small group of very loud people shouldn’t be able to ruin something that brought so many others joy.

I also want to clear something up, as people who follow me on Instagram already know.

I’ve been to the United States before. This is not my first visit, and I’ve never claimed that it was. The last time I was here was in January 2022, when I visited New York and Philadelphia.

A lot of people shared my Raising Cane’s post from November 2025 to make it look like I was secretly American. That post wasn’t from the United States, it was from my trip to Saudi Arabia.

This is my first time back in the U.S. in more than four years, and apart from Boston, I’d never visited any of the places we’ve been to on this trip before. That’s probably why many people assumed it was our first time in America, because for all of these places, it actually was.

And let me tell you, Ohio and Alabama are very different from New York City or Los Angeles.

When people are allowed to threaten or harm elected officials, it doesn't just harm them it harms all of us in a democracy. When I lived in London, my MP drank in my local. Anyone could talk with him and often did. Then Jo Cox was murdered and 5 years after that David Arness. And now you (understandably) rarely see MPs in your local. Politicians are human. They have fears like all of us. They have families like all of us. If going out in public becomes dangerous they will do it less, or do it only with a security team that makes it hard for voters to interact with them. No matter how you feel about Scott Weiner, you should recognize that if what happened to him becomes the new normal, you will suffer as much as politicians will.

In November of that year, I was in Portland, when gender zealots tear-gassed a group of women (including me) who were speaking out about male violence against women. Earlier that year, my friend @ThePosieParker was nearly trampled to death by gender zealots in New Zealand. There are countless other examples.

You might remember Posie. She is someone who approached you on the street to ask questions and express opposition. You ignored her and walked away.

It can be rough dealing with the people you enabled and encouraged.

Maybe now would be a good time to repeal the law you introduced allowing men to be housed in the women's prison? The laws that made it easier to transmit HIV? The ones that turned your state into a haven for human trafficking? Just a thought.

In Texas, Antifa members are calling for the jurors who convicted a Texas cell's members of the attempted murder of a police officer they shot in the neck with a rifle to be hunted down and killed.

And yet, when you read the BBC, Guardian and liberal media, the fact that Antifa brought rifles to their "peaceful protest" is omitted, as is the fatwa against the jurors.

Needless to say, these are the same media who tell you rape gangs are a hoax and refuse to cover the fact that Keir Starmer's government arrested 1280 people for making anti-government posts online and jailed them for up to three years.

Of course, these "news" organizations could not possibly succeed in this project of deluding progressives without their cooperation. Progressives are _choosing_ to label any effort to tell them the truth "misinformation," and assiduously avoiding looking at those sources again.

In most societies with as bad or worse media bias and censorship, people do generally know what is going on. What makes the modern West different is not new technology or cleverer propagandists. Most of what CBC, NPR, BBC, etc. spew is so unsophisticated and hamhanded as to make Brezhnev-era Pravda writers blush.

What is different is this: our culture has fashioned such a brittle, insecure, vain version of the human soul that it is beyond the capacity of people to handle the news that they are not morally superior, more knowledgable and smarter than their neighbours.

I know I shouldn’t keep commenting on this, but it really blows my mind.

$1.45M per unit for 2,200 units that would have already been on the market, and at likely sold at lower prices than we’re buying them, had we not intervened.

It’s a an absolutely wild trade off.

With $3.2B, we could be capitalizing 6,000+ new “affordable builds”. More if we fixed how our housing system works.

This would have added even more affordable supply, helping more people while leading to more affordable market for everyone in general.

Given the scale of the homelessness/addictions issues we’re seeing in urban centers across the country, it’s just an unbelievable prioritization of public money.

If I had that money for Ontario, I’d be dedicating it to housing and treating those suffering on our streets, and giving people of this province their urban centers back. And I think the vast majority of people would prefer this use of money over a developer bailout.

It really tells us that this decision was not about creating affordable housing… because it is doing the opposite.

Granular knowledge of how the Vancouver Condo Kings are the major supporters of people like Gregor Robertson, Justin Trudeau and Mark Carney was my past reporting beat. I’m not going back to it, other reporters need to pick that up. Read JWR’s chapter about meeting Trudeau in his friend’s pent house to understand who Carney is bailing out. I can say the Chinese money behind all these Liberals makes the story so much worse than a Liberal bail out of slick developers. This is scandalous and nationally ruinous.
