So let me get this straight… Cake girl proudly walks up to @UofUGOP booth on U of U campus with a cake celebrating the brutal assassination of a Republican on a Utah college campus on the anniversary of his death that read “happy kirkiversary”.

She even poses for a picture taken by a College Republican student with a reasonable assumption that it will be posted on the internet. It was, and she was not named in the OP that went viral and reached 6.5 million people.

Randos on the internet doxed cake girl and she’s now receiving threats for her behavior she was originally very proud of and even posed for. Cake girl issues an apology.

However, now cake girl and/or U of U Dems are allegedly trying to get the college republicans and students expelled for posting a picture of someone harassing them at their booth with a cake celebrating the assassination of a Republican on a Utah college campus that she posed for.

college republicans were victims of harassment by her gloating with the cake celebrating left-on-right violence and they were simply documenting the overt harassment because they feared for their lives… and now the college republicans are receiving death threats and facing potential expulsion for documenting threatening behavior by another student…

I see one problem here and it’s not college republicans.

The outrage over this tweet is missing the point entirely.

Today, 30+% of graduate students at UT Austin are international. That jumps to more than 60% for engineering students. At an elite, public, AMERICAN university your AMERICAN tax dollars fund... taking spaces from hardworking American engineering students.

Across the 8 campuses of the Ivy League, 25+% of all students (undergrad & grad) are international. At Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, more than 50% of students are not American citizens. Columbia's entire student population is made up of 40% foreigners, and in 5 of their professional and graduate schools, more than 50% of students are foreign nationals.

It is not racist to believe that hardworking American students should be prioritized for positions at American universities and workplaces over foreigners--especially as your tax dollars and government grants you already paid for fund these institutions.

& the failure of FAR too many people in politics to realize this or just run to assume it's somehow a "white supremacist" talking point will prove to be a MASSIVE problem in upcoming elections.

& no... wearing a cowboy hat & cheering at an American football game doesn't mean you've fully assimilated into life as an American citizen.
