After Beebow Baloch was transferred to Pashin jail, there were conflicting reports about her health, and she was denied access to her legal team. According to our latest information, she was subjected to severe torture in jail, which led to a serious decline in her health. She was taken to the CMH Hospital and later moved to Huda Jail in Quetta.

Beebow is being brutally punished simply for raising her voice against injustice. Her non-violent protest is being answered with violence. We are gravely concerned about her condition.

It has been more than 42 days since Beebow Baloch, along with Baloch Yakjehti Committee members Mahrang Baloch, Gull Zadi Baloch, Beebagr, and Shah Jee, were detained under a false case filed under 3MPO.

We are alarmed about the continued mistreatment of these activists in custody. We call on national and international human rights organizations to speak out and take urgent action against this state-led repression.

Today, I formally wrote to the Honorable Chief Justice of Pakistan to draw his attention to the continued harassment of Dr. Mahrang Baloch, Beebow, Gulzadi, Shabghat Ullah Shah Jee, Beebarg Zehri, and other detained BYC activists in Hudda and Pishin district prison in Balochistan.

I have appealed to the Chief Justice to urgently intervene to ensure the safety and security of these peaceful rights activists, and to direct the Hudda District Jail administration to uphold their rights as prisoners.
