YELLOW-BILLED STORK
What at first glance appears to be a life-threatening situation for the bird turns out to be a productive one. In other words, #crocodiles like fish better than storks. And so the #stork and the crocodile drive the prey towards each other. #sango#zim#africa
THE CHAPUNGU PRIDE
This is a lion from our Chapungu pride. Thirty years ago, Chapungu was a ranch and part of a huge cattle ranch that became Sango in the Save Valley Conservancy in 1993. Today, Chapungu's 150 square kilometres make up a quarter of Sango's 600 square kilometres.
PRIDE
Lions are social cats and live in groups called prides.
African lion prides typically consist of up to three adult males and around a dozen females and their young.
Some prides can grow to be extremely large, however, with up to 40 members. #sango#zim@kimwolhuter
#WorldGiraffeDay
Giraffes have lost more than 90 per cent of their habitat - areas of intact wilderness where they can roam freely. Habitat loss and fragmentation are two of the main reasons why the giraffe is listed as vulnerable on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
#WorldEnvironmentDay Day was officially proclaimed by the United Nations Environment Programme on 5 June 1972, the opening day of the first World Environment Conference in Stockholm. Since then, around 150 countries around the world have taken part in „WED“ every year. #sango
DRILL
The trunk of an elephant is a very useful tool. And when the small rivers on sango dry up it becomes a drill that reaches the groundwater for a little refreshment.

FAREWELL
Our guests always say that the saddest moment is when they say goodbye.
We have been working with Giles from Altair for a long time. He knows Sango like the back of his hand and the fast 1 hour flight to Harare literally flies by. #sango#safari#africa#flight#zim
INNOCENT
Our camp manager Shelby once grabbed her camera in her spare time and put our #wilddogs in the spotlight. Their loyal gazes are similar to those of the meadow dogs - but these guys have a better kill rate than #lions and #leopards. They don't just want to play. #sango
It is moments like this that will always remain in our memories and why Africa captivates us with its grace. At the end of the rainy season, small waterholes can be found in many places at #sango where a whole family of lions can refresh themselves #lions#safari#conservation
CLEANING SQUAD
When the big cats have had enough of the carcass, the Sango cleaning squad takes over. In large circles they show their fellow vultures in the sky that there is work to be done, and then things move quickly.

EXITED
When wild dogs hunt, their prey usually has no chance. Like this impala that has just been taken by the pack.
Look how the pack is jumping in pure excitement. If you listen closely, you can hear the squeaking the dogs use to communicate with each other.

HAPPY WORLD WOMEN’S DAY
#InternationalWomansDay (IWD) is a global holiday celebrated annually on March 8 as a focal point in the women's rights movement, bringing attention to issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights, and violence and abuse against women.
NOCTURNAL
#Leopards are nocturnal and usually hunt after sunset. They are very skilled and intelligent hunters with a high kill percentage, partly because they have a certain advantage at night due to their excellent night vision and finely tuned hearing.
STAY HYDRATED
What applies to humans also applies to elephants. However, to a much greater extent. Elephants can drink up to 50 gallons of water a day about as much as a standard bathtub holds.

#ROAR
The roar of a lion is not just an auditory experience, but a physical one as well. You can feel the vibrations of the sound in your chest, and the intensity of the noise seems to command your attention, making you acutely aware of the power of these animals. #lion
2/2 Most people have never heard of pangolins, yet they are the most trafficked mammal in the world due to the high demand for their scales and meat. Their meat is considered a delicacy, while their scales are said to 'cure' ailments in traditional Asian medicine. #pangolinday
PANGOLIN DAY
Today is the Day of the Pangolin, an endangered animal worldwide. But what are these animals and why is the species endangered?
Pangolins are shy, nocturnal mammals completely covered in plate-like scales, often referred to as 'scaly anteaters'. 1/2 #pangolinday
