They sell duplicate products and products which are NOT allowed by @RailMinIndia

They threatens people who question them

They take up seats allotted to passengers

This cannot happen without help of railway officials.. which may get their cut from these sales.

When will @RailMinIndia get rid of such Mafia?

Simple Solution:
Vendors should be uniform with their ID cards displayed all the time, which should have QR code which people should be able to scan and get their details and what list of products they are allowed to sell.

Passenger complained to @RailwaySeva about caterer overcharging. RailSeva takes the PNR and seat no. and passes them to irctc to solve it, who tells the contractor, who tells his men, and they come beat up the passenger.

I’ve seen at least two more such cases. Complain, share your details, and then get beaten up because of those very details.

This needs to be streamlined. Complaints should be investigated by a third party. Sharing passenger details with the very people the complaint is against, and then forcing direct contact, makes no sense. Instead, collect passenger details, verify the complaint, and refund directly to their account, without bringing them face-to-face.
