Marking Labour Day 2026, Dr. Sunita Singh Dhawan conducted a session on the POSH Act, 2013, emphasizing workplace dignity and safety. Labourers associated with the institute were also felicitated for their contributions. As part of its outreach programmes, CSIR-CIMAP provided hands-on skill training to Self-Help Group women from Uttar Pradesh in herbal agarbatti making, aromatic candles, rose water, hydrosols, and eco-friendly herbal products. More than 300 school students also visited the campus for scientific exposure.
Key agreements signed during the National Technology Day 2026 celebrations at CSIR-CIMAP included: • MoU with Frezool Industries Pvt. Ltd. for market seeding of five herbal products. • Technology Transfer Agreement with ICAR-KVK Ernakulam for localized production of herbal bio-agents. • Three-year partnership with Lucknow Development Authority for urban greening and medicinal plant landscaping projects. • Collaboration with Tantia University for wellness and hygiene-related TBIC services.
CSIR-Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants celebrated National Technology Day 2026 under the theme “Responsible Innovation for Inclusive Growth” with initiatives focused on technology transfer, women empowerment, scientific outreach, and strategic collaborations. The programme began with lamp lighting by Dr. Prabodh Kumar Trivedi, Director Csir Cimap and senior scientists, followed by an overview of the institute’s technological initiatives by Dr. Sanjay Kumar. The institute also unveiled a commemorative badge symbolizing its vision as an “Innovation Engine of India.”
