@IqooInd Sure. I’ll share the required details via DM.
Please ensure the complete history of my complaint, including the contradictory diagnosis and my pending technical queries, is reviewed by the concerned team.
Dear @IqooInd, thank you for an unforgettable customer experience. 👏
I spent approximately ₹35,000 on an iQOO Neo 10 and got around 13 months of use before the phone suddenly died. No warning signs. No water or liquid exposure.
The authorized service centre diagnosed a motherboard/main-board failure and gave me a repair estimate of ₹19,295.
Since the phone failed only around one month after the warranty expired, I approached iQOO and requested a goodwill resolution.
And then the story became interesting.
Customer Care: “Liquid damage.”
I asked for the inspection report and photographs proving the alleged liquid damage.
Customer Care: “Coordinate with the service center.”
I visited the service centre myself.
Service Centre: “There is no liquid damage. We reported a motherboard issue. This must be a miscommunication.”
🤔
I even shared my Customer Care call recording with the service centre, where the liquid-damage claim was mentioned. They said they would review it and discuss it with senior management.
I thought, finally, someone was going to actually look into the issue.
Nope.
After nearly 3 weeks of calls, emails, escalations, service-centre visits and follow-ups, I received the grand final solution:
₹2,000 goodwill discount on a ₹19,295 repair.
And when I asked specific questions about the contradictory diagnosis:
iQOO: “Please contact the service centre.”
Service Centre: “Please contact iQOO.”
Me: Brilliant customer support. 👏
I then sent a detailed email to iQOO. They requested my job-sheet number, IMEI and phone number. I provided everything.
I expected an actual review.
Instead, I received the same answer again.
And when I raised the specific contradictions, I received essentially the same copy-paste response again.
So, after spending ₹35,000 on an iQOO phone, I'm apparently expected to spend another ₹19,295 to replace the motherboard after just ~13 months — while the company's own Customer Care and service centre can't even give me a consistent explanation of the diagnosis.
Thank you, iQOO. You've successfully lost a customer.
I will remember this experience the next time someone asks me whether they should buy an iQOO phone.
If you're looking for a phone for around a year, perhaps iQOO is worth considering.
If you're looking for reliable long-term ownership and after-sales support, my experience says: look elsewhere.
I have retained the job sheet, repair estimate, email correspondence and call recording documenting this entire experience.
@IqooInd — I'm not looking for another copy-paste response. Address the contradictory diagnosis and explain why a customer who has spent ₹35,000 is being treated like this.
