In fact Indian crude basket is always higher compared to what you see on Google - The Brent Crude.

Higher ethanol blending in India can provide price protection only in India not else where.

Please Google petrol and diesel prices across countries & compare, I m sure u will be surprised how cheap it is in India compared to elsewhere, cheers👍

In UK blending is around 10%.

By having 20% ethanol it would provides some cushion, without it pricing could have been higher.

Not sure how bad the elnino draught conditions can impact the blending rate.

Crude is something that gets sold in $ across borders the variations is due to taxation, subsidies and other aspects.
