The W.I. will restrict membership to only those born female from next year, because of a Supreme Court ruling that defines a “woman” as biologically female.

Opintokeskuksen toiminta perustuu rauhan, kansainvälisyyden, humanismin, demokratian sekä marxismin ja sosialismin aatteisiin. Demokraattinen sivistysliitto järjestää Marx-opistoa, jolla opiskellaan marxilaista teoriaa ja käytännön toimintaa. Kurssi järjestetään kaksi kertaa vuodessa. Marx-opisto on tarkoitettu niille, jotka ”tarvitsevat eväitä radikaaliin vasemmistolaiseen vaikuttamiseen ja haluavat oppia lisää järjestötyöstä.” Lisäksi opintokeskus järjestää marxilaisuutta ja sosialistista ajattelua edistävää verkkokurssia.
