the reaction to this pisses me off!! first of all vader is a woman, but even with the transphobic take your argument relies on the basis that men are innately better at video games than women, which is factually not true. if your argument is that she doesnt experience the harassment c*s women do, you would be right, she experiences 100x more, and at such a young age. its horrible and shes strong for pushing through it. please send love to vader and nina for their win!! It’s so interesting to me how so many men that actively cause harm to the women’s esports scene and are openly misogynistic on a regular basis suddenly care about “advocating for women” when there is a trans woman that is successful- seems to me more like an opportunity to display their transphobia.

I think open and respectful dialogue is important, but hate speech is never OK. There’s a good chance that trans women may actually experience even more adversity in gaming than cis women do. For this reason, I think it’s so important that we don’t shut down healthy and respectful conversations surrounding this topic but what I have heard and observed on social media today is simply hateful and disgusting.
