My heartfelt congratulations to Mrs. Asel Roberts on her confirmation as the U.S. Ambassador to Slovenia. As the first ethnic Kazakh ever to serve as a U.S. Ambassador, her achievement is a powerful testament to dedication, professionalism, and hard work. Wishing her continued success in this important role and in all her future endeavours. As we say in Kazakh: Iske sat!

Congratulations to #Kazakhstan on becoming the first country in Central Asia to reach Maturity Level 3 (ML3) for the regulation of medicines and imported vaccines. Strong regulatory systems are essential for access to safe, effective and quality-assured health products. This milestone will benefit patients, health-care providers and industry alike.

It’s critical we end the unfair, outdated Jackson-Vanik trade restrictions so we can increase trade with Central Asia & bolster our energy independence. @SecRubio
✍️ Following the talks between President @TokayevKZ and President of China Xi Jinping, 24 intergovernmental and interagency agreements were signed.

The United States is the largest investor in Kazakhstan.
Bigger than China. Bigger than Russia. Both neighbors.
These are some of the largest American foreign investments anywhere in the world.
But a US President has never even visited Kazakhstan.
We also currently have no Ambassador in Astana, even a career appointee.
Presidents Xi and Putin however visit regularly.
At some point, it's time for the USA to show up.
🇺🇸🇰🇿
Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister-Foreign Minister Nurtleu and I discussed trade and investment opportunities in the IT and critical minerals sectors, and leveling the playing field for U.S. companies in Kazakhstan.
On her first day as @USCIRF Chair, I had a candid and constructive exchange with Vicky Hartzler and fellow Commissioners. I emphasized that promoting religious freedom is our shared priority — one that calls for a balanced and nuanced understanding of societal dynamics.
