I've got some *professional news* today. Tomorrow is my last day at Salem Reporter. I am so grateful to have been able to tell people's stories in Salem for the last three years.
As a writer, I don't worry about being canceled. I worry about publishing something ignorant, betraying my audience, and accidentally using my platform to perpetuate hurtful ideas and societal structures. I worry about failing to be a responsible and curious author and citizen.
