@Briks88@Acts17David@sneako There is an entire book in the Bible about building walls and defending oneself and one’s people. It’s more nuanced than what you’ve portrayed it as. And as for multiculturalism, do you think Jesus would want people to not be Christian and turn away from him? Nuance, brother.
If you just read the first three chapters of Acts, you'll see Jesus is presented as YHWH. In Acts 1, Jesus is called Lord (Acts 1:6, 21), but then they pray to Him and say, “You, Lord, who know the hearts of all..." (Acts 1:24). In the Bible, only YHWH can read the hearts of men (1 Sam. 16:7; Jer. 17:10).
In Acts 2, Peter quotes Joel 2 and Psalm 16. Both of these chapters are explicitly about YHWH, but Peter applies them to Jesus, thereby saying Jesus is YHWH.
In Acts 3, Jesus is called the "Author of Life" (Acts 3:15). God is the author of life, not a mere divinely appointed man.
Yes, Jesus is a man and subordinate in role to God the Father, but that does not preclude Him from also being YHWH.
Martin Scorsese spent nearly 30 years bringing Silence (2016) to life. A meditative, haunting masterpiece, it traces two priests in Japan confronting faith, doubt, and the unbearable weight of silence.
@Whoseyodaddy2@micheleDavid7@armedpat99@VividProwess How do you reconcile this position with the writings of Tacitus, Josephus, Pliny the Younger, Suetonius, Mara Bar-Serapion, & the Talmud? All of these independent, non-Christian writers/historians discussed Jesus, His crucifixion, and the varying views people had regarding Him.
@ThatAntiTheist1@Hoyvin2@DrFrankTurek The OT’s (Mosaic Texts) composition resembles a suzerain treaty. Look into “Exploring the Composition of the Pentateuch” by L.S. Baker Jr. It’ll address most—if not all—of your issues.
As an eyewitness to the tragic assassination of my friend & brother in Christ, @charliekirk11 , I share my firsthand account & offer tribute to his life & legacy.
