Once you’ve looked at the data, you need to do what I do when I look at lynching data on my master spreadsheet.
You need to humanize every line of data.
Every name is a human being. Some are rich, some are poor, some privileged perhaps, many not. They are all people who rely on the Indian state for an identity, for survival or for protection. They vote because for many of the poor that is the only time they are visible to the state, the only time they feel like they matter to this massive institution (read Chhibber and Ahuja’s work on this).
So if they’re being procedurally doubted by the state they rely on and have a burden of paperwork placed on them, how are they going to cope?
Found a lost black Labrador around RT Nagar, unsure if abandoned or lost. Looking for any help to locate the owner or find a rescue center willing to take him in, as he doesn't get along with other dogs, making it challenging for me to keep him at home.
Please RT: Dear Twitter fam please help me. A close friend (recently graduated in society and culture from IIT Gandhinagar) is in immediate need of freelancing opportunities broadly in translating (Telugu to English and vice-versa), content writing in both languages, RA works etc
Me and @NamanGovil1 have a landlady in Bombay who's the aunt of Errol Dsouza, whose book we referred to for our Adv Macro course. Absolutely mind blowing news at 11 pm lol.
It really is a small world. Bonkers.
