It is quite the fragile god who needs political power to preserve and enforce their will.
It is quite the powerful God who is born in poverty, partners with the poor, washes feet, heals the sick, advocates for the oppressed, is unjustly killed and still changes the entire world.
“reading fiction is dissociation—” no. stop pathologizing benign behavior, stop shaming things that are objectively good. you grew up reading because you enjoyed it, because it gave you pleasure. your life was enriched in every way by the books that you read.
“The question is not whether we will be extremist but what kind of extremist will we be. Will we be extremists for hate or will we be extremists for love? Will we be extremists for the preservation of injustice-or will we be extremists for the cause of justice?”

64 years ago today, six-year-old Ruby Bridges became the first Black student to attend an all-white elementary school in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Her courage continues to inspire us as we fight to fulfill the promise of America.
“President Trump has given me 3 instructions,” Kennedy said. “He wants to return the agencies to the gold standard, empirically-based, evidence-based, science & medicine that they were once famous for.”
Friendly reminder that said evidence has shown vaccines don’t cause autism.

All this talk abt what the Dems have to do in elections. Trump ran on countless complete lies and quite literally zero accountability for anything. Dems trying to strategize how they “message” is laughable- you can’t and won’t replicate the ability to lie like them. You’re always going to be disadvantaged in that.
I’ve seen a couple people suggest that this election was a rejection of the radical left and… I gotta say… the idea that Kamala Harris was some sorta champion of the radical left is very very very stupid.
You will not find many radical leftists at home in the Democratic Party.
Imagine being a young female voter who saw Trump blowing mics, swaying to music for 45 minutes, getting waxed by Kamala at the debate, saying he wants to see her in a ring with Tyson, and still winning. Are young women allowed to feel socially alienated, or is that just for men?
To those feeling despair: remember, every step toward progress in American history came after the darkness of defeat. Abolitionists, suffragettes, Dreamers, and marchers for civil rights and marriage equality all faced impossible odds, but they persisted. Now it is our turn.
