Per VP office on #Switzerlan trip…
“As the Vice President said at his press conference, the plans for the upcoming technical talks have not been finalized, and the U.S. delegation has been prepared to depart at the first available opportunity. But the logistics of these negotiations have never been simple or predictable. As of now the Vice President is not departing tonight. We will let you know as soon as we have a concrete update about next steps. We look forward to beginning technical talks as soon as possible.” — WH Spokesperson
Vance is no longer departing for Switzerland tonight for talks with Iran. WH says “the plans for the upcoming technical talks have not been finalized.” ⬇️
🔴 US Vice President JD Vance excoriates Israeli critics of the US-Iran interim agreement, warning: “I might not be attacking the only powerful ally that I have anywhere left in the entire world”
🔴 Speaking to reporters from the White House, Vance said that President Donald Trump was “the only head of state in the entire world who is sympathetic to the nation of Israel at this moment in time,” and criticized Israeli cabinet members, noting that the majority of Israel’s defensive weapons are funded by the US
🔴 “The problem for Israel is not Donald J. Trump and anybody in Israel who thinks their biggest problem is the president of the United States needs to wake up and smell the reality of the situation that country is in,” Vance said
Vice President JD Vance sounding Presidential in tone today at the White House podium talking about the U.S. - Iran MOU and issuing a striking warning to #Israel.

Damn @JDVance went HARD on members of #Israel government (Bibi excluded) when asked if they could torpedo the U.S.-Iran deal.
A serious warning to Israel.
Take a look at what he said…
President #Trump says: “We’re never going to let Iran have a nuclear weapon, and they’ve agreed not to.”
Iran has indeed reaffirmed that it will not procure or develop nuclear weapons.
But there is nothing new in that promise.

BREAKING NEWS #US - #IRANDEAL
According to senior administration officials the U.S. and Iran have now signed a memorandum of understanding.
Key points: no money has yet been paid to Iran.
Israel’s withdrawal from #Lebanon is not in the agreement.
Passage through the strait of #Hormuz will be free.
The agreement we’re told should be shared within 24-48 hours.
Good news, perhaps, on a possible Iran deal, but President Trump’s reference to the ‘ultimate alternative’ if talks fail is deliberately ominous, and likely to be interpreted by some critics as (again) nuclear signalling.
The President has though previously said he would not use a nuclear weapon against Iran, but the ambiguity is hard to miss.

BREAKING: Al Carns puts Keir Starmer on notice on defence spending, saying that he is waiting to see how the funding row between the Ministry of Defence and the Treasury plays out - but he makes clear he would consider his position if he does not agree with the answer
RIGHT NOW: @AlistairCarns is live on @SkyNews
The Armed Forces Minister tells @cathynewman he agrees that not enough money is being committed to defence and says that is "dangerous".
He says the government needs to look carefully at its fiscal rules when it comes to funding defence. We need to "explore every option"
